Lisa Diaz is a sought-after expert in organizational development, with a track record of proven success that unites first-hand experience as an executive and effective consultation to leaders across the country. Lisa is in her element when she’s helping organizations connect strategy to implementation, right down to coaching leaders, identifying key performance indicators, and allocating budget. She’s equally passionate about fostering culture, leadership, and high-performing teams that holistically drive an organization’s overall impact. Lisa co-founded Insignia Partners in 2012.
Lisa got her start in higher education, leading major-gift fundraising and alumni development at two public universities. She continued her commitment to education as the chief operations officer for Michigan’s charter school association, where she galvanized the association’s growth from a startup to a mature organization with a staff of 25 — and garnered a national perspective on the charter-school sector as well as specialized expertise in advocacy, lobbying, and securing and managing major federal grants.
Lisa holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Political Science and Economics and a Master’s of Arts in Education Administration, both from Central Michigan University. She is in the process of completing the requirements to be recognized as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
For more than ten years, Lisa has served on the board of a charter school, where she has helped introduce a transformative project-based learning model. She lives in Mount Pleasant, Mich. with her husband and three active boys. Together, they enjoy skiing, sailing, and camping.
