“Marisol was with me at every step of the way in this transition. She knew how to anticipate questions and provide the right resources so that I didn’t have to do it all on my own.” Adam Evans, Executive Director, Project PAVE
Project PAVE reaches thousands of young people across the Denver metro area with therapy and family support services, violence prevention education, and youth leadership opportunities aimed at ending the cycle of relationship violence. After serving as their program director for ten years, Adam Evans was honored to step into the Executive Director role after his former boss and mentor retired. Around the time of his transition, however, the organization suffered two major losses in funding. As the new guy suddenly thrust into crisis management, Evans saw the challenge and opportunity ahead.
Evans was introduced to Insignia Partners by a colleague, and was grateful for his board of directors’ support to engage Marisol Rodriguez in regular executive coaching sessions. In addition to managing through the organization’s financial crisis, Evans needed to navigate sensitive transitions in his governance structure and complex leadership challenges. Regular guidance from Insignia helped Evans build the culture, leadership, and board Project PAVE needed to re-establish its sustainability.
Three years in, Evans is proud to have bolstered the impact of his governing board and emeritus board, strengthened his leadership team and organizational culture, and survived a crippling financial setback. After major funding losses in year one, in year three Project PAVE is financially sound again.
